Some gear I own but don't really use at all, but could be useful to a dive buddy in a pinch so I keep it around. I could sell it, but it wouldn't really be worth the hassle.
Mask
Mares i3 Mask
- Has "side glass" to give a wider field of vision
- My first mask that I did much of my early training in
General Opinion: Works fine, but was not available for a prescription lense so I switched masks. I keep it around as a spare.
Wetsuit
Aqualung Seawave Hood (7/4mm) - XL
- I used it when I was diving my 7mm. But I'd rather be diving dry when it's that cold.
General Opinion: No complaints. Easy to get on and off and keeps my head and ears toasty warm.
Aqualung Aleutian Gloves (5mm) - Large
- I'd rather wear the Bare Ultrawarm style of glove
General Opinion: They're not bad. Plenty of dexterity to do what I need under water. The stitching is not great after only 15 dives and I've had to apply a bit of wetsuit repair glue along some of the stitching as a preventative measure. I keep them around in case a buddy forgets theirs or doesn't have any.
Spare 3-1/2 ft dSMB
General Opinion: Perfect size for calm water deployment. Not too big and not too small. Have used it as a dive marker, a location marker and for dSMB deployment practice for safety stops. It does have a "push in" to inflate mouth piece which is a bit tricky to use under water. The Halcyon has a one way valve, so I prefer it.
Dive Right Bellows Thigh Pocket
- Dangles from your BCD waist band and straps around your thigh like a "gun slinger"
General Opinion: I've used it. It works just fine. It's a little awkward getting in/out of your BCD because you have to remember to open/close the thigh strap part. I keep it around in case someone wants to try out a thigh pocket when wearing a wetsuit but they don't want to commit to tech shorts or permanent glue on pockets for their wetsuit.
Spools
Stainless Steel Spools
- 75ft (green)
- 100ft (white)
General Opinion: So far used only for dive map mapping. But pre-rigged and ready to go. I prefer larger delrin spools instead.
