The Minimum Viable Product
Deploy a buoy in a local quarry no deeper than ~50ft
Have a temperature reading be made at bottom depth
Transmit by WiFi once per day during “open” dive season (~May to ~September)
Have it be self-sustaining for at least 30 days
Version 1 (MVP+)
- Transmission by WiFi or cellular depending on site needs
- Transmit twice per day during “open” dive season (~May to ~September)
- Temperature readings at mid water intervals
Version 2 (Lake Michigan):
- Deploy a buoy in Lake Michigan at an existing Project Baseline wreck site (no deeper than ~75ft)
- Have it be self-sustaining for at least 90 days
A couple things out of scope for now are:
- Over winter / ice conditions
- Depths greater than ~75ft
- Measuring anything other than temperature
- Scientific precision
