A standout wet glove for serious divers who want warmth and dexterity without bulk. These Bare Ultrawarmth gloves fit like a second skin, stay warm in cold water, and hold up to repeated use without fraying or flushing. I’ve used them extensively in both wetsuit and drysuit dives down to the low 50s and was impressed enough to buy a backup pair. They outperform cheaper gloves by a wide margin.

Why I Chose Bare Ultrawarmth Glove (5mm)
I started with the 3mm version of this glove and was surprised how well it fit compared to other brands. When I needed something for colder water, I immediately sought out the 5mm version. My previous gloves were from Aqualung and were a bad fit for my hands — bulky, loose, and already falling apart after just 10 dives. The Bare gloves felt tailor-made by comparison.
Verdict
These gloves are so good I bought a second backup pair in case Bare stops making them. That probably says everything.
Would I buy them again? Yes. Already did.

Performance in the Water
- Thermal Comfort: Warm enough for low 50s Fahrenheit water without switching to dry gloves. For many dives, that’s all I needed.
- Dexterity: The gloves strike a great balance — thick enough for warmth, but still flexible enough for bolt snaps, camera buttons, and mask adjustments.
- Fit: Perfect for my hand shape. No bunching or extra material in the fingers.
- Durability: Still going strong after a year of use. No seam leaks, no unraveling stitching.
- Use Case: I prefer wet gloves with my drysuit unless the temps call for full dry. These gloves make that possible.
