I've used the Divesoft DNA Analyzer for a full year as my primary tool for analyzing Nitrox fills. It has been with me across quarry dives, day boats, and coastal trips, and has proven consistently reliable. While it does require a smartphone to view readings, the app works without internet access and has never let me down. The analyzer runs on a single CR2450 coin cell battery, which has lasted through a full year of regular use without replacement.

No. It requires the Divesoft app to view gas readings, connected via Bluetooth. The app does not require internet access to function, so it is fully usable in remote or liveaboard settings.

Yes. I have used it to analyze dozens of Nitrox fills and it has always been stable, even after long gaps between dives. Calibration with air is quick and consistent.

No. I use it directly on the tank valve. As long as you crack the valve slowly, it works perfectly without any extra hardware.

Yes, although I only use it for recreational Nitrox fills. The sensor can handle higher oxygen levels, but that is beyond my current training and needs.

I do not use the app’s digital logging feature. I label tanks with tape and a permanent marker, which is simple, fast, and clearly visible to other divers.

Why I Chose Divesoft DNA Analyzer

I needed a Nitrox analyzer that was compact, durable, and easy to travel with. The Divesoft DNA stood out for its clean design, stable calibration, and small footprint. I already trusted the brand’s engineering, and I preferred the simplicity of replacing a CR2450 battery over worrying about charging cables. I chose it over screen-based models because I always have my phone with me, and I liked how little space it takes up in my kit.

Verdict

This analyzer has been a consistent part of my diving workflow. It lives in its original case with a marker for tank labeling and gets used before every Nitrox dive. I have never had to recalibrate it on a trip, and I have never seen it return a questionable value. It does exactly what I need, without taking up space or attention.

Would I buy it again? Yes. It fits how I dive, and I would choose it again without hesitation.

My Custom Setup or Configuration

I store the analyzer in its original zip case. I added a permanent marker to the case for labeling tanks immediately after analysis. I do not use any adapters or digital logging.

This setup is dead simple and fits the way I dive. I do not need anything more from an analyzer at this time.
