Certifications & Training
If you’re reading this page, you’re probably wondering if you can trust my dive advice. That’s a fair question. There are a lot of divers with impressive card stacks but very little depth. I’m not trying to impress anyone with volume. I’m showing you the kind of training I’ve taken, how I think about it, and what I’ve chosen to do with it.
Not every class changed how I dive. Some were foundational. Some were forgettable. But every one of them has helped shape how I think about skill, safety, and growth. This isn’t a list to brag about. It’s context. So you can see where I’ve been, and judge for yourself what that means.
Current Status
- Divemaster Candidate (SDI) — in training with Richard Tessell, expected 2025
- Staying at the DM level — I have no plans to become an instructor. I prefer helping people more than formally teaching them.
